Temporary to Permanent position for the right candidate.

Duties:

- Ensure all Quality Control related activities are performed in a timely and effective manner.

- To carry out visual and Non-destructive testing (Ultrasonic) inspections of fabricated pieces of structural steelwork in accordance with the relevant contract requirements and Company standard procedures and quality plans.

- To ensure that properly calibrated equipment is used for such inspections.

- To maintain accurate and up to date records of all inspections carried out.

- To ensure that all rectification work is re-inspected.

- Assist in the resolution of problems identified

- To ensure that inspection reports are promptly written and submitted for documentation records.

- To carry out their duties in a safe and responsible manner in a hazardous environment.

- To perform any other duties reasonably requested by the Company.

- The Inspection/NDT in all assigned areas (and supervision of all assigned personnel) during basic and overtime workshop hours. All to be in accordance with relevant quality plans, specification and standards, to ensure satisfactory quality is maintained.

- The prompt identification and resolution of any problems, actual or anticipated, which may affect minimum quality standards.

- The control and discipline of workshop personnel in line with conditions of employment and Company policy.

- The identification of any training needs of shopfloor personnel working under your direction and the reporting of any such requirement to Workshop Manager.

- The implementation of Health & Safety procedures and activities to ensure compliance with Company policy and appropriate legislation.

- In addition to the above, you will be expected to carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
