A vacancy has arisen within our client's busy Air Freight Export Department. Ideally we require candidates with a minimum 2 - 3 years experience in Air Freight Export within a Freight Forwarder background.

Duties:
- Customer Service - liaising with customers/overseas agents on new orders via telephone, email, fax
- Confirming orders to overseas offices
- Arranging collections/deliveries
- Negotiating with Carriers/Suppliers with regards to service and competitive rates
- Quotations to UK Customers and overseas Agents
- Booking shipments with Carriers/Agents/Internal Offices via telephone/internet/email
- Ability to complete HMRS Customs entries
- Processing customer invoices/purchase invoices
- Sending Pre Alert to destination offices
- Ensuring all documentation is saved into electronic filing system

Skills/Experience/Qualifications required:
- Minimum 2 years air freight export within a freight forwarder
- Experience with IPR and export licences essential
- Knowledge of insurance and processing of claims an advantage
- Able to work under own initiative, but also within a small team
- Air Aviation Security Certificate to level B and supply 5 years worth of background checks.
- Dangerous Goods certificate an advantage
